The charity Health in Mind is looking for a Support and Development Worker for its re:discover Borders project.
It’s a recovery-focused befriending service, helping people to take the first steps towards meeting new people, rediscovering old hobbies and developing new interests and connections.
The Development Worker will recruit, train and manage volunteers, support service users, and manage and support volunteer/ service user matches.
The post is for 18 hours a week, until 30th March 2020 – with a possible extension. Salary is £23,467 – £26,043 pro-rata.
The successful candidate will have experience of recruiting and managing volunteers; recording, monitoring and evaluation of outcomes; an understanding of mental health provision in the Scottish Borders, including voluntary and statutory services; and other essential experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
Closing date is 29th November and the interview date is 10th December.
