Scottish Borders Diversity Week is taking place for a second year running from 17th-23rd September 2018. The project is bringing together partners from the private, public and third sectors to co-ordinate a host of events, celebrating diversity through the theme of Belonging.
Diversity Week gives communities an opportunity to come together, feel connected to the community and celebrate being part of the Scottish Borders. The week will celebrate diversity in all forms, raising awareness of the diversity in our communities and fostering good relations between groups.
A full programme of events has been lined up for the week, including Creative Writing Workshops, an Intergenerational Coffee Morning, and an International Food Taster Evening.
There will also be a showing of the film My Feral Heart, which highlights the challenges and stigma of having a learning disability.
A Diversity Celebration Day & Exhibition will be held at Borders College on 22nd September, and you can find out more by downloading the flyer.
The Borders Transgender Conference will take place on Wednesday 19th September.
